MacBook Pro: Your Week Just Got Faster!
Apple, slyly, released a few changes to it's MacBook Pro line this morning- bigger, better, faster seems to be the low down.
So what are these changes?
- Bigger hard drive: the 13-inch model got a boost from 320 GB and 500 GB to 500 GB and 750 GB of storage. The 15- and 17-inch models didn't catch the boat on hard drive improvements, however they did receive improved graphics!
- Better graphics: all models have Intel HD 3000 graphics but in this release, the 15- and 17- inch also have an AMD Radeon graphics card with 512MB or 1GB of RAM
- Faster processors: the 13-inch models were brought up to speed with 2.4 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 and 2.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 processors. While the 17-inch was upgraded with a 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
And in case these flashy numbers and stats don't mean much to you, all you need to know is that these new hardware upgrades provide processors and graphics with up to twice the speed than the last generation! Not to mention these new releases retail at the same price as before.
Apple states: "With up to 2x the performance of the previous generation, they (the processors) let you see more frames per second in 3D games, or work on HD video projects with more speed and responsiveness than before".
